Project Design Engineer HVAC
Key Accountabilities
To implement-customised complex and/or standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. HVAC Design, Production and Acceptance Test with Customer), to successful completion and within budgeted time and cost constraints. Can technically coach an assistant. Ability to understand customer requirements and play mediator between Honeywell and the customer.
Standard Tasks and Responsibilities

§ Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
§ Produces part(s) of total functional design specifications under supervision.
§ Produces technical design specifications
§ Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)
§ Guide, coach and support other assigned engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work assignments.
§ Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.
§ Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
§ Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
§ Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
§ Reports progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.
Job Dimensions
Typically works without supervision on technical matters across a wide range of activities in a particular engineering discipline.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent polytechnic qualification/experience.
§ Excellent computer skills
§ Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions
§ Knowledge of networks, communication technology and trends in the market would be highly advantageous
§ Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects
§ Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment
§ Language skills: can fluently speak and write in at least Dutch-English, French-English
